Michael is currently Chair of Trustees for the TTT charity. He has been involved with TTT since 2017 having always been an advocate of young people.

He has been an Assistant Scout Leader and was Chair of the Surrey County Youth Orchestra Parents Association.

More recently he is involved with Conservatoire Concerts a series of monthly classical music concerts which gives performance opportunities to both Conservatoire students who are aspiring to become professional musicians, and young professionals.

He was a Godalming Town Councillor in the 1990’s and whilst Mayor set up a joint Youth Council between Godalming College and the Town Council.

Michael was Chair of Churches Together in Godalming and District for five years and tried to involve young people in CTiGD events.

He was re-elected to Godalming Town Council in 2019 and was heavily involved with the Town Council Youth Services Working Group, set up to look into Youth provision in the town. His knowledge of groups and people in the town involved with young people, was very helpful, as it consisted of meeting with many organisations and interested parties and a visit to another Town local authority which have a Youth Service for twenty years.

He ensured that TTT were much involved with the background work. (Andy and TTT carried out a survey on behalf of GTC and were instrumental in the set up of the current Godalming Youth Service.)

He is involved with Busbridge Church and St Marks Church and is committed to TTT to enable it to provide a consistent Christian presence and role models for young people.
